What It Was

A managed predictive-maintenance service for BC plants.

Wireless vibration sensors on their machines, monitoring and alerts handled by me.

02

How It Worked

NCD Gen4 wireless vibration sensors reported to a gateway. Node-RED and FlowFuse ran the flows, InfluxDB held the time series, and a FastAPI sidecar did the analytics.

Five analytics layers ran on top of that:

  1. 01ISO 20816-3 zone classification
  2. 02Streaming Welford z-score baselines
  3. 03Isolation Forest anomaly detection
  4. 04Trend regression
  5. 05Bearing fault root-cause analysis

A REGISTRY KEYED BY SENSOR MAC ADDRESS RESOLVED PER-MACHINE THRESHOLDS IN THREE TIERS.

03

Why It Died

I pivoted to selling the analysis engine directly to analysts, which became Phasedraft.

04

What I Took From It

The credibility gap was the product problem, not the code. Domain trust cannot be engineered after the fact.
